2000 - Present Founder and President

  • Mark Hobbs, Police Detective Sergeant Retired, founded the National Intelligence Service, a professional investigation services firm, incorporating investigation principles and techniques achieved through twenty years of law enforcement experience. Hobbs spent the majority of his law enforcement career as a detective investigating a variety of felony cases, including crimes against persons and property, financial crimes and covert narcotics operations. Hobbs developed and maintained a professional relationship with local, state and federal law enforcement personnel, including the U.S. Army, F.B.I., D.E.A., A.T.F., U.S. Customs, U.S. Immigration and U.S. Postal Inspectors. The National Intelligence Service utilizes these relationships, creating a network of professional investigators throughout the United States.

  • Jack's Law, a book written by Steve Joynt, Crane Hill Publishing, provides an account of Hobbs and his partner, Ray Chaffin working with the F.B.I. and the United States Attorney's Office after they discovered and penetrated a corrupt network of defense attorney's and a State District Court Judge extorting bribes from criminals of all sorts, namely theirs, to release them and/or reduce their charges, of all sorts, namely, theirs, a local cocaine dealer strongly affiliated with a South American cocaine drug smuggling operation. D.E.A. Special Agent was shot to death during a "car-jacking" after Doug and his partner stopped at a convenience store the night of May 28, 1992. After Doug's burial, Hobbs and Chaffin arrested the "king pin" of their last operation with Althouse, which subsequently led to the arrest and conviction of a State District Court Judge and three defense attorneys.
